Setting up PC Remote Shutdown solution in
your network is very easy and does not need expensive server hardware.
Simply follow the few
steps below:

Step 1: Install and run the Server Software
After you download the Server software setup
file, run it to install the Server software in the PC you want to use as the
central controller in the network to control the rest of the PCs.
After installation, the Server will be run
automatically.
NOTE: If any firewall software ask you
if you want to grant internet access to Aquarius Soft PC Remote Shutdown Pro
Server, answer yes. The solution will need to have network access for the
communication between the Client and the Server

Step 2: Take down the Server Information
When the Server software is run after
installation, take down the following Server software information at the top of
the window:
- Server Name
- Server IP Address
- Port Number
These information is required for the Client
software to connect to the Server software.
Leave the Server software running.

|
Step 3: Install and run the Client Software
After you download the Client software setup
file, run it to install the Client software in each PC that you want to be
controlled by the Server software.
After installation, the Client software will be
run automatically.
NOTE:
- Do not install the Client software
in the same PC as the Server software.
- If any firewall software ask you if you
want to grant internet access to Aquarius Soft PC Remote Shutdown Pro
Client/Client Service/Client Window, answer yes. The solution will need to
have network access for the communication between the Client and the Server.

Step 4: Configure and test the Client
Software
When the Client software is run after
installation, check the Enable Remote Shutdown check box and enter the
following information into the Client software:
- The Client Name to be displayed on the
Server software
- The Server Name
- The Server IP Address
- The Port Number
Select the Server Name radio button and
press the Test Connection to Server button.
If the connection is successful, click the
OK button to save the changes. This PC is now ready to be shutdown and
controlled by the Server software.
If the connection fails, select the Server
IP radio button and press the Test Connection to Server button.
If the connection still fails, check that you
have entered the server information properly and that the Server software is
currently running and started in another PC in the same network.
When connection is successful, install the
Client software in the other PCs you want to be controlled by the Server
software.
