What is a hotkey?
Aquarius Soft PC Keyboard Hotkey Professional allows you to manage and
create hotkeys.
A hotkey is a global keyboard shortcut, which means that no matter
which application you are currently using now, pressing and releasing the
hotkey key combination will activate the hotkey configured event.
In Aquarius Soft PC Keyboard Hotkey Professional, a hotkey can be set to
execute an event which can be one of the following:
- auto-typing text
- cleaning up PC
- compressing (zipping up) folders and files
- copying folders and files
- deleting folders and files
- control PC volume
- controlling a multimedia player like iTunes and Windows Media Player
- exploring a drive or folder
- opening a file for viewing, editing, printing
- remapping a keyboard key
- running a program
- sending command to window
- sending keys
- size/position active window
- trigger mouse actions
- uploading files to FTP server
- visiting a website
- running multiple events
- and others.
A hotkey key combination can be made up of one of the following key
combinations:
- Windows + <a keyboard key>
- Windows + Ctrl + <a keyboard key>
- Windows + Shift + <a keyboard key>
- Windows + Alt + <a keyboard key>
- Windows + Ctrl + Shift + <a keyboard key>
- Windows + Ctrl + Alt + <a keyboard key>
- Windows + Shift + Alt + <a keyboard key>
- Ctrl + <a keyboard key>
- Shift + <a keyboard key>
- Alt + <a keyboard key>
- A keyboard key
To press a hotkey key combination, press and release all the keys
together.
By default, Windows has already reserved some hotkeys which cannot be
overwritten. For example, Windows + D is used to display the desktop.

Also some hotkeys are common application shortcuts which we would
recommend you not to change them unless you really need to. An example would
be Ctrl + C which is used to copy content to the clipboard. For a

the hotkey type.
