Happy May! This month our newsletter a is a little late because we want to make sure that we release our new Pocket Unit Converter at the same time...we try hard to keep our emails to you to a maximum 2 per month :)

We have also continue to improve some of our current software based on feedbacks from our kind customers. These updates are again free for registered customers, so just download and install over the previous version.

3. Useful Tips of the Month

Some of you have asked if our PC Alarm Clock Pro can play their Audio CD to wake them up in the morning.

Yes, indeed! Simply setup an alarm for the morning call and set the alarm event as shown below:

STEP1: Set the Program location to the path of MS Media Player.

STEP2: Set the Parameters to "f:\Track01.cda", where "f" is the drive letter of your PC CDROM drive containing your audio CD and "Track01.cda" is the file name of the 1st track of your audio CD.

STEP 1: Add an alarm to trigger at say 1 PM.

STEP 2: Set the alarm event Program location to the URL of your favorite news website, for example: http://www.news.com

NOTE: If you are using modem to connect to the internet, ensure that the modem will automatically dial up to connect to the internet when a browser is opened. You can do this in Internet Explorer's Properties dialog - Connection page.

3.2. Before sleep: How to automatically shutdown your PC after playing your soothing songs? 

This is a new feature supported by the latest update of PC Alarm Clock Pro.

STEP 1: Add an alarm to play a list of smoothing songs at say 10 PM.

STEP 2: In the General Page, select the option "Auto-close after finish playing sound or music file(s)".

STEP 2: In the Event Page, set the alarm event to run PC Shutdown with "/autoshutdown" parameter.

STEP 3: Enable the option "Run event only when alarm is closed". With this, after the music finish playing, PC Shutdown will be run to shutdown your PC to save power.

6.0 New Software: Pocket Unit Converter

This is the Pocket PC 2002 version of our popular PC Unit Converter. Again, we have designed and produce a pocket PC software that is very easy to navigate and use. Do give us your comments on how you find the software after you tried it.

5.1 PC Shutdown now supports weekly shutdown timer

This is a request by some of our customers who need this feature for their server.

Another improvement is we now do a better cleanup of the Internet Explorer temporary file folders.
