electricity consumption.
Whenever possible and relevant,
Aquarius Soft will ensure our software supports the PC sleep mode,
also called
suspend mode or standby mode. For example, unlike
other similar software that requires the PC to be always in full
power in order for them to work, our
PC Alarm Clock Pro,
PC Lock Up,
PC Shutdown,
PC Remote Shutdown
and
PC Big Ben Chimes will work
properly even after PC goes to sleep. For PC Alarm Clock Pro and PC
Big Ben Chimes, it will wake up the PC when it is time to sound the
alarm. For PC Shutdown, it will wake up the PC from the sleep mode
when it it time to shutdown the PC. For PC Lock Up. it can be set to
automatically shutdown the PC during PC lock up times.
Our
PC Shutdown also supports "Idle
Shutdown", i.e. automatically shutting down the PC if it has not
been use for a specific length of time.
By simply shutting down your PC or putting your PC to sleep at
night can help you to save up to $100 per
year on each PC. This works out to be a considerable saving for
schools or companies that have hundreds of PCs.
To help save electricity, you can do the following:
1. Put your PC to go into standby mode whenever you are not using
it for a while.
2. Shut down your PC whenever you are not going to use for PC for
a one or more hours.
You can do the above manually or automatically.
To to it manually, you can activate the shut down or suspend via
the Shut Down in the Windows Start Menu. Or you can use our PC
Shutdown activate the shutdown or suspend action.
To suspend your PC it automatically, goes Windows Power Options
Properties and set your PC to automatically goes to sleep after some
time of inactivity.
To shut down your PC automatically, use our
PC Shutdown application and set a time after office hour to make
sure that your PC is shut down.
