Windows Firewall Settings for BePunctual

Adding BePunctual Server Service to
Windows Firewall
|

| In order for punch station software from another computer in the
network to connect to the
Server software, BePunctual Server Service has to be added to the exception list
of Windows Firewall. In Windows Vista, the port number would also need to be
added to Windows Firewall. By default, this is automatically done by
BePunctual installation so you would not need to perform this
manually.
The following are the instructions:

| Step 1: On the computer running the BePunctual Server software, runs Windows
Firewall from the Windows Control Panel |

| Step 2: Add BePunctualService.EXE to the exceptions list of Windows Firewall |
| |
- Select the Exceptions Page of Windows Firewall
|
| |
- Click Add Program to show the Add a Program Dialog
- In the Add a Program Dialog, click Browse and select
C:\Program Files\Aquarius Soft\BePunctual Server\BePunctualService.exe

- Click OK to add BePunctualService to the Windows Firewall

Step 3: Add the Communication Port Number to Windows Firewall Exception List |

- In the Exception List Page, click Add Port to show the
Add a Port Dialog.
- Enter the information as shown below and click OK.

- In the Exception List Page, click OK to save the changes.
