Why can't I get the punch station software to connect to
the Server Software?
The following are the possible reasons:
- If BePunctual Server software is running on the same computer as the Punch
Station software:
- The connection settings in the Punch Station software are not correct. Check the settings on the
Punch Station Page of the BePunctual Server software.
- The BePunctual Server software or the Punch Station software may be blocked by a
firewall software. Ensure that your firewall software does not block these
applications.
- The network communication port number is blocked by a firewall software.
Ensure that the port number is opened/allowed in your firewall software.
- If BePunctual Server software is running on another computer in the
network
- Ensure that that computer running the BePunctual Server software is on.
- The connection settings in the Punch Station software are not correct. Check the settings on the
Punch Station Page of the BePunctual Server software.
- The BePunctual Server software or the Punch Station software may be blocked by a
firewall software. Ensure that your firewall software does not block these
applications.
- The network communication port number is blocked by a firewall software.
Ensure that the port number is opened/allowed in your firewall software.
- Windows Firewall is blocking the BePunctual Server Service from
accepting incoming messages from the Punch Station software. Ensure that
BePunctual Server Service (BePunctualService.exe) is added into the
exception lists of Windows Firewall.
- Windows Firewall is blocking the network communication port number.
Ensure the port number is added to Window Firewall.

Can the staff change the computer time so
as to punch in early or punch out late?
The punch in/out time is taken from the computer running the Server software.
If the Server software is run on another computer in the network,
changing the Staff Punch Station computer time will not affect the punch in/out
time.
If the Server software is run on the same computer as the Group Punch
Station, do the following to prevent your staff from changing the computer time:
- Set a password for the computer BIOS.
- Run the Group Punch Station in a non-administrator account.
- Set a password for the Group Punch Station.
- Set the following settings of the Group Punch Station:
- run punch station when log in Windows
- run punch station in full screen mode
- disallow punch station to in be non-full screen
- disallow punch station to be hidden
- hide the taskbar when punch station is shown
- show punch station always on top
- password needed to set punch station to non-full screen
- password needed to hide or exit punch station
- Enable the "Prevent system time from being changed" option in the
Server
software.

I have forgotten the Server Software password. How
can I retrieve or reset the password?
Run Explorer and go to C:\Documents and Settings\All
Users\Application Data\Aquarius Soft\BePunctualS
Email us the following files: BePunctualOD.bpd and
BePunctualSPD.bpd
We will reply to you with the password.

I have forgotten the punch station password. How
can I retrieve or reset the password?
If the punch station can connect to the
Server software, then you can use the Server software to change the
password. The steps are as follows:
- Run the Server Software.
- Run the punch station and connects it to the
Server Software.
- In the Server Software, select the Punch
Stations Page.
- Select the punch station require and click
Configure Station.
- Set a new password for the punch station.
If the punch station cannot connect to the
Server software, then do this:
- Run the Server Software.
- Select the following menu item: Setup
> Options.
- In the Options dialog, select the Backup Page.
- Click the Open Data Folder button.
- Email us the following files: BePunctualOD.bpd and
BePunctualSPD.bpd
We will reply to you with the password.

How can I edit my employee punch card data?
You can edit your employee punch card data via the Server Software
or Manager Station Software. On the Server Software:
- Select the Punch Cards page
- Select the employee to edit
- Select the month
- Select the punch data to edit
- Click the Edit text button
On the Manager Software:
- Click Start to go to the Home Page
- Click Staff Punch Card
- Select the staff to edit
- Select the month
- Click the Edit action beside the punch card data

How can I log onto the Manager Station?
The Manager Station is for a manager/head of
department/supervisor to log in and monitor employee attendance.
The log into the Manager Station, use the manager's/supervisor's
Punch ID and Punch PIN.
To set a staff as a department manager/head of department, go to Setup ->
Department -> Add/Edit Department
To set a staff as a supervisor of another staff, go to Setup
-> Staffs -> Edit -> General Page -> Supervisor
